Do I need to book in advance?
We strongly advise you to book in advance to avoid disappointment, tours tend to sell out very quickly particularly over the weekends, public holidays, Halloween, Fringe Festival and Hogmanay.

Are your tours suitable for children?
Although our tours are kids friendly, children must be at least 5 years old to come on any of our ghost tours. Anybody under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
The Extreme Paranormal tour is only available for individuals over 18.

How do I get to the meeting point (ticket box)?
We are located in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, with easy access on foot or by public transport.
The closest bus stops
North Bridge – buses: 3, 3a, 5, 7, 8, 14, 29, 30, 31, 33, 35, 37, 47, x47 and 49.
George IV Bridge – buses: 23, 27, 41 and 42

Am I allowed to take photos on the tour?
Yes, of course! We’d love to see your spooky snaps, please share your photos on our social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter.
We only ask that when you take pictures, you are respectful of the guide and your fellow companions, don’t flash the camera in their faces and don’t wander off the group.
Is there much walking on the tours?
It is not a difficult walk. We stop fairly regularly along the tour routes, so walking roughly last between 2-5 minutes at a time. However, bear in mind the walking distances are fairly longer on the Alternative Tour.

Wheel chair accessible?
Except for the Alternative Tour, most of our tours are not wheel chair accessible.

What should I wear?
Comfortable footwear is a must as a lot of the streets in old Edinburgh are uneven and cobbled. You will be outdoors most of the time on so make sure you dress appropriately for the cold weather, particularly in the evening.
What happens if the weather is bad?
This is Edinburgh. The weather’s going to be bad, all too often!

What happens if we turn up late?
If you arrive late please be sure to call (+44) (0) 131 220 6868 so that we can direct you to your tour. We can do this for up to 10 minutes after the designated start time of a tour. However, if it is more than 10 minutes we cannot guarantee to be able to get you to the tour. In the event of your being late no refunds will be given.
Should I leave a review?
We positively encourage feedback on how you found the tour. If you enjoyed the tour and would like to let us know this then please feel free to do so!
How can I cancel a booking?

Do I need to print my booking confirmation?
Let’s save trees! No need to print your ticket. We just need to see your booking confirmation from your phone or tablet.
Can I drink alcohol on the tour?
We have a strict policy on alcohol and drugs, if you are under the influence we may refuse entry.
How big are the groups on each tour?
The capacity depends on the tour. We want you to have a memorable experience that’s why we keep our groups to a maximum of 30 people per tour, this way everybody can get involved.
